Need
The client wanted to develop the Data Warehouse and a web reporting console that would support various reports and role-based dashboards for the client’s Survey Data Warehouse.
Solution
INDUSA built a data warehouse and a web based reporting system to allow the firm’s personnel and its clients to display, analyze and export survey reports for the client’s Survey Data Warehouse and Reporting Solution. The data structure was designed and developed keeping all the functional requirements in mind that would also include storing of company level surveys where a company can have multiple divisions. INDUSA built a data structure for the data warehouse keeping in mind the complexity of sources, number of questions and the need for reporting. This data warehouse is a relational database using fundamental steps of database design including normalization and de-normalization. There is a single database which acts as a central repository that will have different tables having various survey results.
In addition to this, a robust database security structure was provided so that only admin and IT maintenance would be able to access the data warehouse. INDUSA used SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) platform for ETL which has the capability to Extract, Transform and Load the data.
