Client

The client is the largest association of pump industry manufacturers in North America and has served member companies and pump users by providing product standards and a forum for the exchange of industry information, since 1917. The company currently offers ANSI Pump Standards for sale in 3 different formats such as in hard copy, downloadable PDFs and, as a complete set, on CD-ROM.

Need

The client required to develop a web based subscription service to offer a simpler model that groups standards that are typically used together into packages. The packages are priced based on the combined costs of the individual standards included in the package with discounts applied as the number of seats increases. The term of the subscription is 1 year. The system stores subscription start and end dates to ensure that subscription is active.

Solution

INDUSA developed the required application which aimed at:

Providing the company subscribers access to their standards based on their subscription and maintaining security of the standards through integration with the FileOpen software

Developing a permission server which acts as a gate keeper to all requests for the standards and allowing/rejecting access based on subscription and maintain security of the data i.e. standards

Improvement in Quality of Service owing to a central place for information to standards which the subscribers can have access to. Through the proposed website they will be able to Login either through the login credentials or by referring URL or IP address

INDUSA was also involved in managing the company branding through logo management, managing users of the company that have access to the site, seat management, displaying list of standards available to the subscription and ability to view them online, providing reports to analyze the information related to access of the standards by subscribers, and more.
