Oakbrook Terrace, IL, January 7, 2010: Indusa has recently enhanced its high end performance Test Lab Infrastructure with Quad Core processor servers. Indusa has brought about this enhancement so that it can emulate huge datacenter customer environments and perform large scale testing of storage and security applications over multiple servers, memory, storage, and network configurations.
Manoj Nair, QA manager, Indusa Technical Corp. says “Today’s enterprises offer an array of services to support their increasing business growth and customer needs. Data centers consist of complex mix of under-utilized server platforms, other hardware and applications. Due to these data centers, there is an increased number of servers, need for reliability, complications, maintenance costs etc. To address these issues, we have amped up our resources. These Quad Core processors offer fantastic performance for huge data center environments which require powerful processing capabilities”
Reports also suggest an increase in use of server virtualization across the globe. In a recent ESG (Enterprise Strategy Group) survey of current and planned users of server virtualization, 52% of the organizations who were respondents to the survey, had already deployed the technology, while 48% were planning to do so.
Manoj adds, “We have extensive capabilities in setting up virtual servers and boost up productivity. Applications deployed on virtual machines which share a pool of storage, are more mobile and available than those deployed on direct attached hard drives. This makes virtualization very feasible — to migrate volumes online with a system actively reading and writing to the volume, to run database and file workload of more than 10 GB, and to carry out performance testing under different workloads and environments.”
Indusa has installed Intel Xeon Quad Core Nehalem E5520 servers with 1 TB HDD space and 32 GB RAM. They are rack mount servers and especially installed to take up high end virtualization and remote network infrastructure management projects. The technology used for virtualization is VMWare and Hyper V technology.
